I don't know when we went wrong
We lost that love, no more song
Life passed us by
Right before our eyes

KARMA
If someone says mean things to you
Do you cry foul or do you own what you say and do?
Is the weight of your justice balanced on both ends?
Or, does the weight of other's deeds push down heavier, my friend?
This thing that you call Karma, is it blinded to you?
Does it never see or hear the many things you do?
If you believe you've never said a hateful word or done somebody wrong,
I'm sure you must believe then that this Karma thing will just keep moving on.
But, Dear Friend, I beg of you, Look deep into your past
Someone is lurking there with battle scars that last.
You must've thought those raging words would never take to seed
But patiently Karma is waiting to fulfill their every need.
If you believed in true Karma, where we pay for what we do
You'd guard your very words like diamonds and your actions too.
But with the words and actions from people of today
I must believe that people feel that Karma's gone away.

CHASING YOUR OWN BEHIND
Life, no one ever said that life would be fair
Chasing rainbows, chasing dreams, but no one seems to care.
Full speed ahead, running on empty to be stopped on a dime
Seems like every time you turn around you're chasing your own behind.
OH STAR OF MINE
There it is, right there in the sky
If I could stretch a little further, but it's just to high
No not that one, it's the one shining bright
The only star I see for me shining in the night.
It's whispering my name
I can hear it call
It says, "Just reach a little further on your tippy toes so tall.
I've been with you your whole life, with you through it all.
But you've never looked my way and made me feel so small.
I see you now Oh star of mine shining so bright
Somehow I overlooked you even by my side.
I must have thought you were for someone else, not meant for me
But Oh star of mine I feel your love and know it's just for me.
Push and Pull
Here I am, trying desperately to stay I’m not the one, when times get tough, to turn and walk away Push me out, pull me in, I’m about to lose my mind I can’t seem to see a way to get pulled back in this time. The Safest Place
Sometimes the night is the safest place to be
Hidden from everyone; you want no one to see.
The beating of your head,the wringing of your hands, the screaming from your heart
Because that grand life that others see is crumbling all apart.
